The Rocky Mountain Bass Slam, Jam, and BBQ is a celebration of the bass guitar!

The Slam will also raise funds in order to donate some bass guitar equipment to two local beneficiaries:  The Denver School of the Arts and the Jefferson County Open School.  Our goal is to put some bass guitars in the hands of youth who normally may not have access to the beautiful instrument of the bass.

Your attendance and support of the Slam will help us to help others!!

The Denver School of the Arts is the only comprehensive secondary arts magnet (grades 6-12) in the Rocky Mountain region. In addition to a challenging and rigorous academic program, students engage in intensive studies in Creative Writing, Dance, Theatre, Instrumental Music, Stagecraft and Design, Video Cinema Arts, Visual Arts, and Vocal Music. Jefferson County Open School (JCOS) is the original Jefferson County School District option school. For over thirty-five years, the Open School has provided a viable, vibrant, and life changing alternative to conventional schooling. JCOS features a Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade environment with inter-age groupings throughout the school. At all levels students work closely with their advisor in the development of their personal curriculum. Both individually and in groups, advising is about developing strong, caring relationships between adults and students, and between students and students. JCOS is committed to preserving educational choices for all students and parents. In the face of increasing standardization, our emphasis on personal, social, and intellectual development helps to prepare students for an ever changing world.
