This is a great idea. I remember when I was in high school and the bass for our jazz band got ripped off. Somebody donated a new bass to our school and we didn't miss a beat. I remember thinking at the time how cool it was that somebody would donate an instrument to some kids that they had never even met.
This event fits the definition of cool.

MOST importantly... To all who visit this site: Please forward the website address / URL to ALL of your music loving friends and associates! This is the SEXIEST concept I've ever heard!! The bass is my absolute FAVORITE! What a fabulous idea it is to strip away all the other stuff and allow the bass players to step up, shine, groove and show off their stuff! It's NOT just a support instrument! I think the bass provides the soul and the groove and the pocket over which everyone else can decorate and flow. If I don't have a gig conflict that day, I'm SO THERE! Plus, all these players are just so darned handsome. Great playing AND eye-candy?!?! Can't go wrong there.  Great idea guys! Thanks for putting it together. Can't wait to see Glenn wag himself to the groove. That's my favorite part. hee.
